Duvel Collection

Design Contest Finalist

Every year beer brand Duvel releases a series of limited glasses designed by well-known and established artists under the name Duvel Collection. Now it was time for an international competition that took place in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom. Duvel gives creative talent the opportunity to design their own glass.

840 designers took part in this competition. Three designers per country went on to the grand finale in Paris. These designers were chosen by a jury consisting of Marie Pok, Dieter Van Den Storm, Michel Moortgat, Marnick Smessaert, Fontanel, Vice Magazine, 5.5 Designers en Dennis Elbers. With this I was selected to compete in the final in Paris, together with the last 12 designers of the Duvel Design Contest. The Belgian designer Philippe Debongnie was announced as the winner during this final.

Every finalist received 50 glasses with their own design. The glass, ‘Duvel at the bar’, was a great success among the collectors and is now being continued.
